Mayford House Surgery, located on Boroughbridge Road, Northallerton is one of two GP Practices in the area providing primary medical services to Northallerton and its surrounding population.
Most of our services are provided under our contract with NHS England.
We are a member of the Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby Clinical Commissioning Group.
The practice is very long established, the original Mayford House Surgery building was on the High Street in Northallerton, moved to East Road and then in 2000 to its present location on Boroughbridge Road.
We are a training practice for qualified doctors who are progressing to their chosen speciality both in primary and secondary care. Occasionally we have medical students attached to the practice.
Clinical Commissioning Group
We are part of Hambleton Richmondshire and Whitby Clinical Commissioning Group (HRWCCG), more information can be found at www.hambletonrichmondshireandwhitbyccg.nhs.uk
The Practice is also part of the Heartbeat Alliance (a GP federation created by 21 practices across Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby). The aim of the Heartbeat Alliance is to try and keep services local, to be delivered to patients by the GPs they know and trust. For more information please visit the Heartbeat Alliance website www.heartbeatalliance.co.uk
All of our patients have been assigned a named GP at Mayford House Surgery. This is inline with national NHS guidance and is not optional. This does not affect in any way your right as a patient to see a GP of your choice.
Practice GP’s Average Income

The average pay for GPs working in Mayford House Surgery in the last financial year was £68,940 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 7 full time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
